Christmas Food Distribution – December 2025

Youth Development Initiative Trust (YDIT), with support from Honourable Brian James, Member of Parliament for Mutare Central, successfully distributed Christmas food hampers to People with Disabilities (PWDs) across 11 communities in Mutare and surrounding areas.

Through this initiative, families received essential food items including 10 kg mealie meal, 2 litres cooking oil, 1 green bar soap, and 2kg sugar — bringing relief, dignity, and hope during the holiday season. This impactful program reflects the power of collaboration between civic organizations and duty bearers in advancing inclusivity, equality, and social justice for PWDs in Zimbabwe.

Together, we continue building communities where everyone is seen, valued, and supported

Youth Development Initiative Trust (YDIT) is proud to have received vocational toolkits from Tools with a Mission (TWAM), including mechanics kits, carpentry kits, and electrician kits aimed at transforming lives through skills development and economic empowerment. These tools were distributed to women, youth, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing opportunities for self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.

By prioritizing inclusivity, YDIT continues to champion equal access to skills and economic participation for marginalized communities. Using our existing beneficiary database, YDIT carefully identified individuals who would benefit most from the donated tools, particularly young people, women, and PWDs with a passion for vocational and technical work. This initiative is more than just a donation of tools — it is an investment in dreams, dignity, and community transformation. With the right equipment and support, beneficiaries can strengthen their skills, start income-generating projects, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Tools with a Mission (TWAM) for partnering with us in advancing empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable development in Zimbabwe. Together, we are creating pathways to opportunity and lasting change.
